For over 40 years, the Barrhead Rotary Music Festival has been part of what makes this community feel like home. Each spring, we see familiar faces and new ones alike come together to share music, step on stage, and cheer each other on.

 

The festival is all about giving people, especially our young performers, a chance to try something brave, gain experience, and grow. Whether it’s piano, voice, band instruments, or speech arts, there’s a place for everyone. Participants receive helpful, encouraging feedback from experienced adjudicators, so it’s not just about performing -

it’s about learning and improving along the way.

For many in Barrhead, the festival is a bit of a tradition. Kids start out young, stick with it over the years, and sometimes even come back later as teachers, volunteers, or parents in the audience. It’s one of those events that brings the whole community together.
